Most “compliance” products schedule an engineer, chase a certificate and tidy the paperwork afterwards. The Atom is hardware — it physically carries out the statutory test.

Where a person is still needed.

Emergency lighting

Fully remote. Routine monthly and annual tests run by the Atom beside each luminaire, and a failed light is flagged the moment it fails. Periodic servicing and five-yearly surveys still need a competent engineer.

Fire doors

Watched continuously. Closure is monitored around the clock; the physical integrity inspection stays a human job.

Weekly fire alarm

One human press. The law tests the button, so a person presses it — and that press now verifies every sounder and vent at once.

That cannot be automated and we don't pretend otherwise. We say precisely what each system does — no more, no less.
